US AGENT FOR SERVICE (USAS)
What is USAS?
In an effort to expedite communications with US license holders abroad, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now requires FAA Certificate Holders with a foreign address to designate a U.S. Agent for Service under FAA 14 CFR Part 3, Subpart C. This agent will be your designated point to receive mail and your agent will contact you regarding any received correspondence. This legislation takes effect July 7, 2025. Failure to have a US Agent registered after this date will result in non compliance with 14 CFR Part 3 Subpart C and potential enforcement action. You may VIEW COMPLETE FAA RULE BY CLICKING HERE
How We Help
1StepPrep Academy is a US Agent for Service and can be listed as your USAS to comply with 14 CFR Part 3 Subpart C. 1SPA will become your primary contact for receiving and forwarding official FAA communications on your behalf. 1SPA will notify you via email and provide FAA physical documents requiring mailing to be sent to you at a discounted fee.
The process involves filling out the form below and submitting the annual fee. We handle the rest leaving nothing for you to do.
FAILURE TO COMPLY
New Applicants: Your FAA certificate will NOT be processed and you will NOT receive a license.
Current Certificate Holders: Loss of your FAA Certificate privileges. You will NOT be able to exercise any privileges of any license/rating.
